Biography

Linnea Schossow is the Swedish trance sensation who is recognized as one of Scandinavia’s most talented artist’s in her genre. Being a DJ/Producer, Radio Show Host, Songwriter, Recording Artist and Vocal Performer is all in a days work for Linnea. With a fanbase spanning the entire globe, bad ass DJ sets and radio broadcasts, stunning releases on the world’s leading label’s and massive vocal collaborations with the electronic elite, Linnea Schossow is a future dominator sending out a worldwide trancemission!

Born in 1988 in the south of Sweden in a little town called Helsingborg, Linnea began her love affair with music at Helsingborg’s Music School at age 5. There she spent most of her days singing and performing there until the age of 18 when she finally graduated. At the age of 14 she visited ‘The Berlin Love Parade’ with her parents and heard Sarah McLachlan on the trance classic, Delerium – Silence for the first time. This was the moment Linnea knew that she wanted to do Electronic Dance Music. In 2009 the dream began to take shape when Linnea began to write, sing and produce her own material in her home studio. A year later after many of sleepless nights and experimenting she became confident enough to collaborate and teamed up with producer Jo Micali. This lit the fuse Linnea went on to work with Mat Zo , Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ben Nicky and Fabio XB.

Linnea got her first original track ” Someone Like You” signed to Paul Van Dyk‘s Vandit label and it was released with a darker tech trance remix from German maestro Alex M.O.R.P.H. Armada also picked up the track, Ben Nicky feat. Linnea Schossow – Tears for Andy Moor’s AVA. Tears which was named Tune of the Week on ASOT, got to number 1 in trance charts and featured on Ministry of Sound and Gatecrasher compilations. Italy’s king of trance Guiseppe Ottiviani was next up to collaborate with Linnea on the track ‘’Just For You’’ which featured on his GO ON AIR Album. Then came her biggest collaboration to date with Mat Zo called “The Sky” on Anjunabeats. This track reached the number 1 spot again on Beatport only 3 days after release and stayed on number 1 for over 4 months. ‘’The Sky’’ earned Linnea’s first ever music video which broadcasts regularly on MTV Dance Europe and is on the GRAMMY nominated album “Damage Control”. UK label Enhanced picked up XB feat Linnea Schossow which also charted well, got its own video shot in Rome starring Fabio XB and Linnea’s first video role , plus came with a fat remix package including Scottish tech trance tyrant Mark Sherry.

In 2013 Linnea continues her trance quest with a host of other top producers from around the globe underway or in early planning including a long awaited track with her brother Marcus Schossow, another collab with Fabio XB and with Giuseppe Ottiviani for his new album. Bringing her exquisite song writing to life through her now highly sought after vocal skills, Linnea’s vocals have been described as a whispering angel who captivates the listener with her otherworldly dream like themes. Linnea has been voted among the top 50 Best Vocalists on Beatsmedia.com and alongside her DJ sets, you can now book a live performance showcase. DJ wise she has already graced the booth of the superclub Lush Northern Ireland and spun in India, Malta, Hungary, Sweden and Republic of Ireland where she is now Dublin based. Vocal shows in Italy and Egypt have also been accomplished!
